Review: Autotech Car Care is the most honest, trustworthy auto repair shop that one could ever hope for. I needed service on a 2008 Volvo hatchback that had definitely seen better days, specifically it needed two new tires, replacement of the front left axle, wheel alignment, and repair of the left wiper arm. I am currently on a very tight budget, planning a wedding and searching for my new job out of grad school. Because the cost of the front axle arm replacement was not something I could afford at the time, I asked Todd to replace only the axle boot in the hopes of buying myself some time until after the wedding to eventually change out the entire arm. I was also due for an oil change and replacement of the rear stabilizer links but because of my budget, I decided to have my fiancé work on those at home rather than getting them done in shop. Even though I was having to make tough decisions to save on cost, Todd patiently worked with me every step of the way. He did not make me feel bad about having to pick and choose what work I could afford to get done in shop, nor did he try to upsell me like the way some other shops do. Once the work had started and the mechanic discovered that the front left axle was actually bent and therefore unsalvageable, the team made the wise judgment to replace the axle to ensure my safety on the road. They did not even charge the labor cost for the axle replacement!! I would never expect them to do this, nor should any customer expect the same. I am only including this detail to drive the point that this is a shop that has compassion and integrity. If more shops and offices operated this way, we wouldn’t have to be so cautious of doing business. Heck–if more people, generally, conducted themselves like the folks at Autotech, the world would be far nicer place to live in. Safe to say that I’ll only be taking my business to Autotech from here on out.
