Review: They told me I needed an engine mount and a new oil pan on my Accord, which is only 5 years old, which would have cost $3000. Seemed fishy, so I got a second opinion from Independence Auto in Pasadena. I needed the front strut tightened (which Independence did for free) and a new turbo, which is what was leaking oil. I would have wasted $3000.

Review: This past Saturday, I went out to Honda of Bowie just to look at, and ask some questions about the 2024 Honda Odessey. I had been to Carmax a week prior to look at and price older models of several different makes of minivans. Ryan Kelly, who became my salesman, came out to greet me. I went back to Honda of Bowie four days later and drove off the lot with the exact car that was best for me – the 2024 Honda Odessey. It was even my first choice of color. Ryan has been the best, most friendly, and most accommodating car salesman I have ever worked with. On my first visit I told him I didn’t want high-pressure and a hard sell. I told him I was in the research phase with regard to buying a new minivan. I was not specifically settled yet on a Honda. Ryan was respectful of my request. He asked all the right questions showing that he cared more about me than selling a car. He went the distance to help round out my picture of buying a new car. I never, at any point, felt cornered or pressured and he did not berate the other three companies that still make a minivan. That says a lot about his character. He was so respectful of my request that I not be pressured that, over the next couple of days, he did not plague me with a single phone call, email, or text. He gave me the space I needed to make the decision that was best for me. I am 65 and have bought 11 cars over the course of my life — some new and some pre-owned. My experience at Honda of Bowie with Ryan, Kelly has been the absolute best with regard to buying a car. Eddie, the general manager, couldn’t have been more accommodating with regard to working figures and doing everything possible to tailor the financing to my exact needs. He was able to get me a monthly payment that fit exactly with the budget figures I brought with me. Constantine, who handled all of the loan paperwork, was pleasant, professional, and thorough. In his office. At the very end, he found a way to reduce my payments by even just a tiny, tiny, bit more. Working with each of these three individuals, Ryan, Eddie, and Constantine, my experience became better and better as each of them entered the picture. I had come well prepared with paperwork of my own — my research notes , my budget, and figures from other loan companies. The last time I bought a new car and not pre-owned was twenty years ago and I bought it at Honda of Bowie. Twenty years later they are still going strong in putting the customer first. Definitely, go to them if you are in the market for any model of new Honda. And most important, ask for Ryan Kelly. He has been rated the #1 sales consultant there for three years running.

Review: I will start by saying that the individual employees, especially Tierra, have been excellent. I’ve purchased several cars here through the years but my recent service experience has not been good. Oil change , cabin filter, tire rotation, and brake flush for $400 seems high. Had to return two additional times to get the work finalized and all three times my car was left messy with the entire contents of my glove box and a dirty cabin filter left on my seats. Even after returning one last time the door to the cabin filter was not installed.
