Review: I recently had the misfortune of using Garcia’s muffler shop. First off, the prices were astronomical. The initial quote was $380 to install a downpipe and catback exhaust that I purchased and brought. When I questioned the absurd pricing, the staff member said because two bolts look rusty and may be a problem to get off.I am active duty military and am about to drive to Texas, so I really needed this installed to make room for my uniforms and suitcases. We settled on $330 because I really need this complete, as explained in the aforementioned. To make matters worse, the “waited room” is a tiny trailer behind a fence with a bunch of used tires and a litter of kittens. I’m not making this up!The quality of their work was equally disappointing. The “tech” wanted to either cut the pipe going into the muffler or spread the pipe on the muffler side because “they didn’t fit.” I pulled the pipe that he wanted to cut off the hanger so the muffler could slide into it. I can’t believe I was desperate enough to pay these guys for this installation!I can’t emphasize enough how much you should avoid this overpriced muffler shop at all costs. You’d be better off going to a DIY garage, and you’d save a small fortune!For reference, this installation was on an HHR SS, and the downpipe and exhaust setup was from ZZ Performance.
