Review: I’ve taken my Mini here a couple of times, the guys are really friendly and accommodating. The prices are better than the dealership. My previous brakes lasted for 4 years and never made a sound but my new $1200 brakes installed here started squeaking 4 months after being installed. Also, I get my oil changed here and found out by happenstance that my coolant container was almost dry as tho it hadn’t been topped off at my last oil change (no, there isn’t a leak, just wasn’t topped off). This concerned me as I learned this during an extreme heatwave and my car could’ve easily overheated and caused more damage due to what I’m guessing is either negligence or a simple oversight, either way, not cool. Having a Mini Cooper, not many chain mechanics will do an oil change on it and, being new to the area, I took a chance here only to feel as tho I’m being sabotaged by them risking me having an overheating vehicle due to lack of coolant. As a single female, I hate feeling as tho I’m being taken advantage of when it comes to my car as tho I’m not intelligent enough to know better and rely on someone gaslighting me to get more money for extra services that aren’t necessary or charging me for things they aren’t even doing. New brakes and rotors should NOT be making any noise, especially after 4 months. Do I believe I needed rotors as well? No because I know what a car sounds and drives like when you do and my car wasn’t performing as such but I was told when replacing the brake pads on a Mini Cooper, you have to replace the rotors as well and took them at their word as my brakes were 4 years old.
