Review: I went into Pep boys on May, 14 for tire sensor issues. I was greeted by Duane immediately and I walked over to him and began a conversation detailing what I thought I needed. I handed over my keys and was told where I could wait. The room was too cold for me so I went back to the desk and got my keys from Duane so that I could get my jacket. He mentioned that I could wait in the car if I wanted. When I got outside, the tech (Brian) began flirting instantly, which annoyed the hell out of me. There’s a time and place for everything and that wasn’t the time nor place. I was disturbed at knowing that he’d be the one working on my car because I already knew that a 45 minute procedure would turn into a 4 hour one and man was I right. My suggestion is that they check the cameras and observe how many times he left the bay to flirt with me. I went to get something to eat after two hours of waiting. Then went to the store to buy a blanket so I could take a nap, try to drown out the fraternizing. Brian mentioned that my car was blowing him and that told me that maybe he didn’t know what he was doing which is funny considering he was trying to cut a side deal the moment I stepped out of the car. He mentioned that he does this work on the side. I woke up, the work was done and then I decided to ask about the severity of the steering wheel shaking whenever I hit 40mph. Duane told me it could be a couple things and when he said tie rods, I told him that I had heard that was the issue as well. So I asked if they fixed that type of thing and he said they did. A new work order was put in and the car sat, waiting to be lifted again. When Brian noticed that I was still there, he came over and asked me what was up and I said that I was having the tie rods done. He said, “oh you got big money”. I said no, just enough sense to not drive an unsafe car. He began asking what I do for a living. I dismissed him and took another nap. I woke up and walked to the store, this time when I came back in, another customer was in the waiting area and saw that Brian stopped his work to say that he was going on break and asked if I wanted to ride his scooter.Once my car was finished, I went to Duane and he could see the frustration in my face and he said he was waiting for me to say something. I told him that every female that walk through that door doesn’t expect, want or need to be hit on by the staff. It’s unprofessional and it made me uncomfortable. He apologized and that wasn’t for him to do. His professionalism isn’t up for question. I went on further to say that this is why single women let their cars get bad because this happens every where we go. I can’t help that I look like this (naturally shapely). After spending $1100 and 8 hours there, he was going to hear the problem. I called back a day later because the car was doing the same thing, just not as bad. A young lady answered the phone and told me to bring it back in. Hesitant, I asked if Brian was there because I wanted to avoid him. She asked why and I told her. What she said next pissed me off and it’s why I haven’t been back. She said, “well you shouldn’t be so pretty”. While I understand her attempt at trying to make me feel better, she needs to understand that statements like that are the same as victim blaming. “She shouldn’t have worn revealing clothes, it looked like she wanted it” I do not take these things lightly or as something to laugh about. All in all, I do feel victimized by the ordeal. I’m processing it still. However, I think it’ll be best that they coordinate follow-up service with a tech that won’t resort to retaliatory measures to my car when the issue that I originally went in for, gets addressed. One thing is for sure, the cameras do not lie and I made sure that I stayed in the view of the camera. You’d have to see it to believe it, otherwise you wouldn’t believe me.

Review: I just had the best experience at Pep Boys on St Barnabas Rd in Camp Springs MD. I got an oil change and the customer service was impeccable. Started with the clerks at the check in desk. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name that checked me in but both him and Ms Jackson had exemplary customer service. Brandon did my oil change and I could see that he was extremely thorough and precise. I just want to thank them all for an excellent experience. Please keep up the good work!!!

Review: First of all, I would like to say that service was very professional in the way I was treated as a customer. The manager explained what was needed to correct the problems with my vehicle and alerted me of several oil leaks that need to be taken care of and was completed in a timely manner. My experience there was really great and I will be returning if any other problems occurs with my vehicle. I will refer others to this location. The cost for work done on my car was reasonable.
