Review: My man! Listen, good mechanics are hard to find. Good mechanics who are honest and fair are INCREDIBLY hard to find. These guys are all of that. I can tell you from first-hand experience that they honestly care more about helping you than taking your money. If anybody needs service, this is the place I send them. Review: My family’s van broke down at 5:15 pm on a Friday in D.C. on our way from Virginia to Wisconsin. It couldn’t go more than 40 MPH. We went to Capitol Auto Care just because they were open until 6 on a Friday. They quickly diagnosed the problem and were ready to fix it the next day – Saturday. Capitol was unknown to us, so we were a little wary, because we, being stranded visitors, were the perfect target for a scam or excessively high prices.One of their customers – a woman with a small child, who was with us in the waiting room and who heard about our situation, told us they were honest, fair, good people. After getting their diagnosis and quote, I also called my regular mechanics back at home, and all of them confirmed that Capitol’s prices were very reasonable and that their diagnosis was correct (as far as they could tell). Everyone at Capitol was friendly, clear, and communicative. In fact, after we arrived back at home after our long trip, Capitol called the next morning just to check whether we got home safely. Really, these guys are great – honest, friendly, and fair. 100% recommend.

Review: We met Wahid when we lived in Burke in the 90’s. Always provided fantastic customer service. We moved 40 miles south in 2003 but my dad, who always did his own car repairs, started going to him in 1991. 33 years later we took his car to Wahid for brake issues today. He got us in and out in lightening speed and spent some Q time just reminiscing. Anyone who lives in or near Alexandria, I’d recommend taking your vehicle to him. The most honest, personable, and professional car repair professional I’ve ever known.

Review: The owner is honest, knowledgeable, and friendly. He does not recommend unnecessary maintenance. His prices are fair, the service is excellent, the communication is refreshing. He usually provides same-day turnaround and if he cannot do the job quickly he will let you know.

Review: As a 24 year old woman it is always difficult to find a shop that will not take advantage of you but I can honestly say you do not have to worry about that here! I had such a wonderful experience with this shop! I would absolutely recommend them for all of your vehicle needs. They were very honest and did not try to sell me anything I did not need. Wahid is very kind, professional and really cares about his customers like family. I dropped my vehicle off on a Friday evening before they closed and had both of my front lower control arms, an engine mount and an engine mount torque rod replaced and I got my vehicle back by Saturday afternoon. I only paid $1600 for everything whereas the dealer had quoted me $3600 for the same work. My car is running better than it ever has. I will never take my vehicle anywhere else and will be coming back for my oil change soon! Thank you Capitol Auto Care for making this a stress free experience.
